I can't believe I stumbled upon this fantastic chip shop! I’ve tried fish and chips from many places, but the quality here is just exceptional. The cod was incredibly fresh, and the batter was light and crisp – a sign of a well-run establishment. The portions are generous, ensuring you really get your money's worth. I also loved the homemade tartar sauce; it added a lovely zesty flavour that perfectly complemented the fish. One thing I will say is that the prices are slightly on the higher side compared to other chip shops, but honestly, the quality makes it worthwhile. Additionally, I would appreciate some seating options for those wanting to enjoy their meal on-site. Still, the service was quick and friendly, which made up for it. I recently visited this lovely little chip shop on a rainy day, and it completely lifted my spirits! The first thing that struck me was the incredibly friendly staff who greeted me as I walked in. They were more than happy to recommend their best sellers, and I decided to go with the traditional battered cod and chips. It was a fantastic choice! The fish was perfectly cooked; light, flaky, and with a batter that had just the right amount of crispiness. The chips were golden, fluffy on the inside, and not greasy at all! I also appreciated the cleanliness of the shop, which is often overlooked in takeaways. One minor downside was the wait time; there seemed to be quite a few orders ahead of me, but honestly, the delicious smell wafting through the air made it worth the wait. I also think they could expand their menu a bit with more variety, perhaps some vegetarian options? Overall, this is a delightful spot for a classic takeaway, and I would definitely return not just for the food but for the warmth of the staff as well!

I had high hopes for this fish and chips takeaway, and I must say, it mostly delivered! I ordered the haddock with a side of mushy peas. The haddock itself was delicious and cooked to perfection; the batter was crispy and not at all oily. However, I found the mushy peas a bit bland for my taste. Maybe a dash of mint or something could elevate them? The chips were great, perfectly seasoned and not overcooked. I also appreciated that they offer gluten-free options, which is a blessing for those with dietary restrictions. The staff were incredibly welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely come back, but I might skip the peas next time!

What a gem of a chip shop! I was passing through the area and decided to pop in for a quick bite. I went for the small fish and chips, and it was more than enough for me. The fish was incredibly fresh and had a flavour that was out of this world, with the batter being nice and crunchy. The chips were thick-cut and definitely had that homemade feel. I also loved the fact that they serve a range of sauces to accompany your meal. The only slight drawback was the seating area, which felt a little cramped, but as it's primarily a takeaway, it didn’t bother me too much. Overall, I was very pleased with my visit and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a satisfying meal!
